Joyce is a photographer and visual storyteller. As a little child, Joyce was a nerdy bookworm who voraciously devoured novels of all subjects and genres and had no artistic inclinations. When she entered young adulthood, she continued to be bookish (and non-artistic) and spent many years in school to study the care and treatment of eyeballs. As a new mom, Joyce picked up a camera for the first time, and fell in love with the art and craft of photography and felt the nascent stirrings of artistic inquiry. Nowadays, middle-aged Joyce strives to tell the story of her family and motherhood through her lens with humor, honesty and grace.
