When I was a teenager, I used to spend long hours in a darkroom, fascinated by images appearing slowly in front of me, waiting impatiently to see if the photos I envisioned turned out like I wanted them to. But then life happened, and for many years art of any kind almost disappeared from my life. I studied Serbian philology, then became an air traffic controller, married great man and gave birth to three wild girls. It wasn’t until few years ago that I truly returned to photography and after looking for my own voice for some time, I settled for documentary genre.
My work focuses on childhood, growth, relations between my kids and the rest of the world. While trying to stay true to what’s happening around me I’m also drawn to finding beauty in the mundane.
