It’s hard to notice life while it’s happening. I blinked, and the baby who wouldn’t let go of my hand is now sleeping in his own room and kicking me out of it.
Photos are what I have to bottle our todays — how we wiggle when we hug, stick our feet in the air when we’re on our phones, or get booped on the face when the dog wants a belly rub — tuck it into my heart, and (with thanks to ABBA for the lyrics), save it from the funny tricks of time.
